Villa
Teratai is an exclusive villa owned by a New Zealand family resident
in Indonesia. It is part of the alam sari Resort and Spa and is
located high in the cool green hills surrounding the central Balinese
town of Ubud, the cultural centre of the island. Located beside
the traditional artists’ village of Keliki, Villa Teratai
looks out over rice terraces, coconut groves, with Mt Agung, Bali’s
holiest mountain, in the distance. It is approximately 90 minutes
drive from the Bali International Airport.
Newly completed, Villa Teratai is designed with Balinese-style,
modern architecture, and has open plan living and dining areas with
cooling mountain breezes. It is tastefully furnished, has large,
comfortable chairs and cushions in soft, understated tones which
are at one with the natural setting and panoramic views which this
villa affords.
All bedrooms are air conditioned, and have IDD telephone. The master
bedroom is beautifully decorated with accents on rich, dark wood
and décor in deep red and cream tones, with a large ensuite
bathroom and indoor jacuzzi to complete it. The two guestrooms incorporate
the theme of the featured Mahyar batiks in the colourful décor
of deep greens, yellows and blues, and each room has an ensuite
bathroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen/breakfast bar with all
modern conveniences, and an air conditioned TV/video room with large,
cosy chairs, and a guest library with a wide selection of books
and DVDs for relaxation. Villa Teratai is surrounded by a lush,
tropical garden, with an open Balinese pavilion, where guests can
relax while taking in the magnificent scenery. Because of our location
on the hillside, adequate supervision of young children is required.
Guests have access to the spa, pool, restaurant/bar, and all the
other facilities that alam sari resort offers.
