UBUD VILLA AREA

Ubud is located on the northwest of Gianyar. Ubud name comes after ubad or medicine, it passes on to the curative assets of a herb that produces along the Campuhan River. Many of Ubud's aristocrats were famous for the remedial ability, and long after the closure of royal status, Ubud's royals carry on to order admiration.

The Monkey Forest is another tourist attraction in Central Ubud. Its attraction is perhaps more to tradition than to any inherent worth. Like all monkey forest in Bali, nomadic gangs of roguish, maddening and fearless monkeys, which apparently protect the temple, interrupt the experience.
