 CANDIDASA
HOTELS AREA
Located in the eastern part of Bali, Candidasa is a perfect
site for those seeking leisure and mirror image. Candidasa
has been developed as a resort area over current decades,
but in much simpler fashion than in the southern part of
Bali.
Candidasa beach is shattered by quays protruding into the
water, intended to stop the erosion caused from years of
coral blasting. These structures make it impossible to walk
more than 50 meters on the beach, once a truly lovely landscape.
The beach can only be seen at low tide.
Less urbanized and simpler than the island's south, East
Bali has a different atmosphere, defined by old rituals,
lava-strewn landscapes, and high bare hills ribbed with
primordial terracing. The eastern coast is first and foremost
coconut and banana groves, although it is a tourist destination
in its own right. Partly hidden by the eastern coastal ranges
is the massive cone-shaped tool of Gunung Agung, Bali's
highest peak at 3,142 meters, which on clear days soar high
above the countryside.

ALILA MANGGIS HOTEL
