Sayan
Located
in the southern part of Kedewatan, Sayan is a small village
in Ubud that reel on the edge of amazingly astonishing Sayan
ridge, with the Ayung River plunging along the bottom. The
panorama is certainly some Bali's most spectacular. The
Ayung is a popular place for whitewater rafting trips.
Mountain slopes provide the ideal setting for the luminous
terraced rice paddies, which the transform to become vast
paddied fields. The Balinese have an ingenious irrigation
system, which keeps these paddies well watered, and the
rich nutrients from the volcanic ash ensure these fields
are also well fertilized.
