Penelokan

With the location 1450 meters above sea level, Penelokan is a spectacular site to take pleasure in viewing Gunung Batur or Batur Mountain.

From Penelokan, the main road runs right round the rim towards Kintamani, the panorama shifting as circling around the crater. For a complete panoramic view, pass the half circumference of the crater along its upper rim. The highest point is Bukit Penulisan. Here, one of the most ancient of Bali's temples contain the remains of carvings from the earliest Buddhist period. From Penulisan, the road continues towards Buleleng and Kubutambahan.
