Sitting in a beautiful panoramic setting, Gunung Kawi is
visited not only for the lush natural setting but also for
the monuments that stand out as a symbol of culture.
The Gunung Kawi sanctuary is still used today for ritual
ceremonies and the local population gathers here periodically
to offer the usual gifts, to pay homage to the ancient king
and his family, and to pray the gods.
A set of buildings of rock temples is grouped in three locations.
There are 10 temples in this area.
