Tangga The journey to the spiritual mountain
Everyone has a mountain they have to climb. In the
Petang district of Bali, there is a mountain called
Puncak Tedung. Waka Tangga will take you there on a
special journey to a special place, to climb that mountain.
It's a challenging journey of self-discovery, of quiet
reflection and eco-adventure. And when you reach the
summit of the mountain, you just may have completed
a spiritual journey.
Your journey takes you deep into the Balinese countryside.
Then, you ascend the sacred mountain; you visit four
age-old temples where you share quiet time, absorbing
the sanctity of centuries of worship.
You eat a delicious meal of traditional Balinese delicates
at a spectacular viewing platform built into the mountainside
You don't need to bring anything. Except good walking
shoes and maybe a hat for the sun. Waka Tangga supplies
you with a traditional backpack, with extra food and
water. You are given a pilgrim's staff, and a prayer
sash to wear in the temples. Its a very special experience. |
