AYUNG RIVER

Two-hour rafting trip will take you through the most spectacular
Tropical Jungle scenery Bali has to offer. World-class river
guides and modern safety equipment make this a fun and safe
day out for all the family with a mix of wild excitement and
fantastic jungle sightseeing as you switch between Class II
and III rapids and wide, leisurely stretches through tropical
rain forest.
Throughout your trip the guides not only skillfully maneuver
your rafts, but also take the time to pass on their knowledge
on local Balinese lifestyle and the local flora and fauna of
the Ayung River valley.
Have an 11-year history on the Ayung River and along with being
the original company to start Rafting Tours in Bali are considered

Own transport takes you to our start point north of Ubud to
collect your rafting equipment and prepare for the excitement
that waits. A thorough briefing on the correct way to raft the
Ayung sets the scene before you head off down the 25 rapids
that connect 's sobek two river bases. |

Spectacular waterfalls, the beauty of untouched primary rain
forest and the brilliant blue flash of the Javan kingfisher
bring your adventure to life as you cover the river section
to our Kedewatan finish point. The Ayung River trip provides
the largest selection of river conditions in Bali as it winds
from tranquil tropical silence through immense jungle studded
gorges intermingled with 25 individual rapids that provide the
largest individual gradient of rapids in Bali.
At the end sit back, catch your breath and relive the excitement
of your trip at our spectacular terraced river restaurant on
the banks of the Ayung. Towels are provided the moment you step
from your raft and the design of our bamboo waterfall showers
always has guests talking. Full amenities are provided. Once
you have dried off, the most spoken about meal on the Ayung
River is presented, with a selection of over 20 Western and
Balinese dishes served up along with fruits, sweets and coffee
or tea. Take the time to watch traditional artists' tool their
craft at our finish point or sit down, join in and make your
mark on a piece of Bali's future history.

Some facts:
All transfers are in sobek's own Air-conditioned fleet.
The trip to the start point takes approximately 1 hour.
Your guides will accompany you from the moment they meet you
to fit your equipment, to the end where they wave goodbye as
you leave to return to your hotel.
We do have to walk down to the River from the car park, however
the steps are all paved and safety rails placed where necessary.
Your spare clothes will be transferred to the finish point in
security bags
Only wear comfortable shoes on the river, sneakers, reef walker
and NO heels. The guides will provide a dry bag for your camera
and sunglasses, however sobek is not responsible for guest's
personal property on the river. If you're concerned about an
item please leave it in the security bag for collection later.
Uses only International Standard safety equipment, including
helmets and life jackets. The river is Graded with Class II
& III rapids. In the rapid rating system, Grade IV is generally
the largest raftable rapids for commercial operators.
Our Guides are Professional River, lake and trekking guides
trained in 'best practice' safety techniques and First Aid
All our guides undertake training in the flora and fauna of
Bali to help make your adventure not only exciting but also
educational and interesting.
Our guests are covered by US$100,000 Insurance
Directly following the trip you'll be offered a towel and the
opportunity to shower off in our bamboo falls before lunch.
The temperature as you sit and enjoy lunch is a magnificent
26-28C.
Following lunch we'll escort you to our Kedewatan finishing
point center where you'll collect your spare clothes and again
be offered a fresh towel and full hot and cold shower amenities.

Whitewater Rafting Adventures are suitable for people between
the ages of 7 and 65. Those at the right end of the scale should
have a certain degree of fitness.
A hat or sunscreen is recommended for all outdoor activities
in Bali.
